Trim a Karaoke Video
Learn how to quickly trim your karaoke videos
Learn how to quickly and easily trim your karaoke videos using Youka.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Open your karaoke project in Youka
- Navigate to Edit > Trim
- Use the waveform to set your trim points:
- Drag the left edge of the region to set the start point
- Drag the right edge of the region to set the end point
- Select which video, audio model, and subtitles to use for the trimmed version
- Preview your selection using the Play button
- Click Trim to create the trimmed version
Fine-Tuning Your Trim
For precise trimming:
- Use the waveform display to see audio peaks
- Enter exact timestamps in the Start and End input fields
- The trimmed region is highlighted on the waveform
What Gets Trimmed
When you trim, Youka creates new versions of:
- The video file
- All audio stems (vocals, instrumental, backing vocals)
- The original audio
- The lyrics alignment (adjusted to new timing)
Tips
- Preview before trimming to ensure accuracy
- The original files are preserved — trimming creates new versions
- Use trim to remove long intros, outros, or unwanted sections
- Check the Jobs tab to monitor trimming progress
