Trim a Karaoke Video

Learn how to quickly trim your karaoke videos

Learn how to quickly and easily trim your karaoke videos using Youka.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open your karaoke project in Youka
  2. Navigate to Edit > Trim
  3. Use the waveform to set your trim points:
    • Drag the left edge of the region to set the start point
    • Drag the right edge of the region to set the end point
  4. Select which video, audio model, and subtitles to use for the trimmed version
  5. Preview your selection using the Play button
  6. Click Trim to create the trimmed version

Fine-Tuning Your Trim

For precise trimming:

  1. Use the waveform display to see audio peaks
  2. Enter exact timestamps in the Start and End input fields
  3. The trimmed region is highlighted on the waveform

What Gets Trimmed

When you trim, Youka creates new versions of:

  • The video file
  • All audio stems (vocals, instrumental, backing vocals)
  • The original audio
  • The lyrics alignment (adjusted to new timing)

Tips

  • Preview before trimming to ensure accuracy
  • The original files are preserved — trimming creates new versions
  • Use trim to remove long intros, outros, or unwanted sections
  • Check the Jobs tab to monitor trimming progress
