Add a Background Box to Subtitles

Make your subtitles easier to read by adding a background box

Adding a background box can make subtitles easier to read, especially when your video has complex or bright backgrounds.

Steps to Add Background Box

  1. Open your karaoke project in Youka
  2. Navigate to Style > Subtitle Settings
  3. Enable the Background Box option
  4. Customize the appearance:
    • Color: Choose the background color (default is black)
    • Opacity: Adjust transparency (0-100%)
    • Padding: Set spacing around the text

Tips for Better Readability

  • Use a semi-transparent background (60-80% opacity) for a modern look
  • Add slight padding (8-12px) to give text breathing room
  • Match the box color to your video's theme

Your subtitles will now have a background box for improved readability.
