Set Up a Duet

Youka allows you to assign lines to different singers for duet mode. Follow these steps:

Steps to Set Up a Duet #

1. Open your karaoke project
2. Navigate to Edit > Duet Editor
3. For each line, assign it to a singer:
   • Singer 1: First singer's lines
   • Singer 2: Second singer's lines
   • All: Lines sung by both singers together (harmonies, choruses)

Using the Duet Editor #

The Duet Editor shows all lines from your karaoke with radio buttons to select the singer:

1. Click the radio button next to each line to assign it
2. Use the play button next to each line to preview that specific line
3. Check the checkbox to toggle vocals on/off for specific lines
4. Add more singers if needed (the editor supports multiple singers)

Tips for Great Duets #

• Assign call-and-response sections to alternating singers
• Use "All" for choruses and harmonies sung together
• Preview each line to verify assignments
• The singer assignment affects how lyrics are displayed during playback
