Speed Up Downloads

If your downloads are taking longer than expected, here are ways to speed things up.

Why Downloads Take Time #

When you download a video in Youka:

• Subtitles are burned into the video
• The video is re-encoded for compatibility
• Higher quality means longer processing

Quick Fixes #

1. Lower the Quality Settings #

1. Go to Settings > Export Settings
2. Select a faster preset:
   • Fast: Quickest export, good quality
   • Balanced: Medium speed and quality
3. Reduce resolution to 720p instead of 1080p

2. Enable Hardware Acceleration #

1. Navigate to Settings > Advanced
2. Enable Hardware Encoding
3. This uses your GPU for faster processing

3. Free Up System Resources #

• Close other applications
• Avoid running multiple exports simultaneously
• Ensure adequate free disk space
