Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: August 22, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to purchases of Youka subscriptions, credit packs, and other paid services. It forms part of our Terms of Use.

1. Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel a subscription at any time through your account's billing settings or through the cancellation link provided by the payment provider.

  • Cancellation stops future renewals.
  • Unless a refund is approved or applicable law requires otherwise, your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Cancelling a subscription does not automatically refund the current billing period.
  • Receiving a refund does not necessarily cancel future renewals. If you want both a refund and cancellation, request both explicitly.

2. Refund Requests

You may ask us to review a refund request within 14 days of the relevant purchase or subscription renewal. Submitting a request within 14 days does not guarantee a refund. We review requests individually, considering applicable law, the reason for the request, and how much of the service or associated credits have been used.

We will generally consider requests involving:

  • A duplicate or incorrect charge
  • An accidental purchase or renewal reported promptly, particularly when the credits granted by that transaction remain unused
  • A material technical problem that prevents you from using the purchased service and that we cannot resolve within a reasonable time
  • A service that is materially different from its description
  • Any refund or withdrawal right required by applicable law

3. Requests That Are Generally Not Eligible

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, we generally do not provide refunds for:

  • Requests submitted more than 14 days after the relevant transaction
  • Credits or services that have already been substantially used, consumed, or delivered
  • Completed karaoke generation, processing, or export work where the service operated as described
  • Credit packs after any credits from the relevant pack have been used
  • Fraudulent transactions, refund abuse, or attempts to misuse the Services

These examples do not limit any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

4. Failed Processing and Credit Restoration

A credit restoration is different from a monetary refund. If an eligible karaoke-generation or processing job fails, the credits charged for that job may be restored automatically or after support review. Restoring credits does not refund the original subscription or credit-pack payment.

If you believe a failed job was charged without a corresponding credit restoration, contact us with the project or job details so we can investigate.

5. Effect of a Refund

When a full or partial monetary refund is approved:

  • Credits, subscription access, or other entitlements associated with the refunded amount may be reduced or removed.
  • Access to the refunded product or paid period may end.
  • Other credits or purchases not connected to the refunded transaction are not affected.
  • The refund will normally be returned to the original payment method where possible. Your payment provider or bank controls when the funds appear in your account.

6. How to Request a Refund

Email support@youka.io and include:

  • The email address used for the purchase
  • The order, invoice, or transaction number, if available
  • The transaction date and amount
  • The reason for the request
  • Relevant project or error details for a technical problem

Do not send full card numbers or other sensitive payment credentials.

For purchases processed by Paddle, Paddle is the Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. You may also manage the purchase or request help using the link in your Paddle receipt, the Paddle customer portal, or Paddle Buyer Support. Paddle processes refunds for Paddle transactions under its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.

Purchases processed by another payment provider may also be subject to that provider's terms and refund procedures.

7. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any mandatory consumer right that cannot legally be waived. If applicable law or the relevant payment provider gives you greater rights than this policy, those greater rights apply.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect on the date of the relevant transaction will apply, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
