Fine-Tune Lyrics Timing

Use the Manual Sync tool to perfect the timing of your karaoke lyrics down to individual words.

Opening Manual Sync #

1. Open your project in the Studio
2. Click Manual Sync in the header menu

Understanding the Interface #

The Manual Sync tool shows:

• Video Preview — See your karaoke as you edit
• Timeline — Visual representation of words over time
• Waveform — Audio visualization to help with timing
• Word Blocks — Each word shown as a block you can adjust

Selecting Words #

Click on any word in the timeline to select it. When selected:

• The word is highlighted
• You can drag to adjust timing
• Playback will focus on that section

Adjusting Word Timing #

Drag to Move #

Click and drag a word to move it earlier or later in time.

Resize Duration #

Drag the left or right edge of a word block to extend or shorten its duration.

Precise Adjustment #

Use the timing inputs to enter exact start and end times for a selected word.

Keyboard Shortcuts #

Speed up your editing with keyboard shortcuts:

Line Operations #

Creating a New Line #

1. Position the cursor where you want the break
2. Press Enter or click New Line

Merging Lines #

1. Select a line
2. Click Merge Line to combine it with the next line

Splitting a Line #

1. Select a word where you want to split
2. Click Split Line to break at that point

Word Operations #

Adding a Word #

1. Position where you want to add
2. Click Add Word
3. Type the word text

Deleting a Word #

1. Select the word
2. Press Delete or click Delete Word

Copying and Pasting #

1. Select a word or line
2. Use Ctrl/Cmd + C to copy
3. Position cursor and use Ctrl/Cmd + V to paste

Using the Waveform #

The waveform shows the audio signal:

• Peaks = Louder sounds
• Use peaks to align words with sung syllables
• Play sections to verify timing matches audio

Previewing Changes #

Click Play to hear how your changes sound. The video preview shows the lyrics with your new timing.

Saving #

Your changes save automatically. Look for the save indicator:

• Saving... — Changes being saved
• Saved — All changes saved

Tips for Better Timing #

• Start each word slightly before the vocal
• Listen carefully and make small adjustments
• Use the waveform as a visual guide
• Test sections by playing them back
• Focus on lines that feel off, not every word
