Use Style Presets

Save and reuse styling across projects

Presets let you save a style you like and reuse it across projects.

What Are Presets?

A preset saves your styling settings:

  • Text colors and fonts
  • Background settings
  • Layout options
  • Overlay configurations

Presets are templates, not live links. Applying one copies its style into the current version.

Creating a Preset

  1. Style your project the way you like
  2. Go to the Presets panel (sidebar)
  3. Click New Preset
  4. Enter a name (e.g., "Neon Glow", "Classic White")
  5. Click Create Preset

Your current settings are saved as the preset.

Applying a Preset

  1. Open any project
  2. Go to the Presets panel
  3. Click on a preset name
  4. The styling is applied immediately

Note: Applying a preset replaces the current version's styling only.

Updating a Preset

  1. Apply or select the preset you want to edit
  2. Make style changes in the current version
  3. Click Update preset

This saves the current version's style back to the preset. Other projects keep their current look until you apply the preset there again.

Managing Presets

Rename a Preset

  1. Hover over the preset
  2. Click the edit icon
  3. Type the new name
  4. Press Enter

Delete a Preset

  1. Hover over the preset
  2. Click the delete icon
  3. Confirm deletion

Setting a Default Preset

Make a preset apply automatically to new versions:

  1. Hover over the preset
  2. Click the star icon to set as default
  3. New versions use this preset's styling

The default preset is marked with a star.

Reset to Defaults

To clear a project's styling and start fresh:

  1. In the Presets panel, click Reset
  2. All styling returns to system defaults

What's Saved in a Preset

A preset includes:

  • Font family and size
  • Active/inactive text colors
  • Outline and shadow settings
  • Background color/gradient
  • Layout type and settings
  • Overlay configurations

A preset does NOT include:

  • Lyrics or timing
  • Audio mix settings
  • Trim settings
  • Version-specific changes

Tips

  • Create presets for different use cases (TV, social media, etc.)
  • Use descriptive names
  • Start with one good preset and iterate
  • Presets work across all your projects when you apply them
